Summer is a perfect time to continue building and deepening math skills. Zearn Math is designed for use in a classroom, but students can continue to learn with Independent Digital Lessons over the summer. Zearn Math’s Independent Digital Lessons are free for students to use at home, and only require a computer or iPad, internet connection, headphones, and Zearn Student Notes (which can be printed from each Independent Digital Lesson).
As teachers create each students’ summer learning plan, keep three things in mind to help your students access Zearn Math over the summer:
- Send students home with their login information. They will need this to access their Zearn account over the summer. If you access Zearn via Clever, make sure to send home Clever usernames and passwords to students to use.
- Students need to be in a “Zearn class” to access their Independent Digital Lessons; until they join their new teacher’s class next year, they will need to stay in their current teacher's classroom.
- Assign student's Mission assignment before they head home for the summer. Teachers want students to continue finishing grade-level content, or to focus on a Foundational Mission to deepen their learning.
