Below are answers to common questions about our Summer Intensive Series:
Q: Do I have to pay extra for access to the series?
A: Access to Summer Intensive Series content is included in all Zearn Math accounts. There is no additional cost.
Q: My district's program isn't 12 weeks. How can we tailor the program?
A: We designed the content to be flexible across different lengths and formats of summer school. All of the content is prioritized so that students are working on the most important content first. We encourage completing as much of the "Priority" content as possible in the time you have.
Q: Does Zearn offer guidance on how to implement the Summer Series?
A: Our Summer Program Guidance PDF includes information on how the Summer Intensive Series can be used for summer school, tutoring programs, or targeted interventions.
Q:
A: Before summer school programs, current teachers should set students to the first lesson in the first prioritized Mission in the grade-level Summer Series. When a student completes all components of one digital lesson, they automatically advance to the next lesson in the Mission sequence—you do not need to advance your student after each lesson completion.
Once they complete the first Mission in the Summer Series, teachers should set them to the beginning of the next Mission in the series. If teachers will not be monitoring student completion over the summer, set students to the first Mission of the series before school ends.
Q: I'm a parent, not a teacher. Are there any resources to help me support my child's math learning?
A: Yes! This article includes information on how to get your child set up to learn over the summer. Additionally, our Parent/Caregiver web page has resources to help you support your child's success with Zearn Math, including printable tip sheets and our parent-focused Instagram account, @zearnmath.
