User roles

Zearn Math School Accounts include four roles: Group Admin, School Admin, Teacher, and Student. Each role has a different level of access to rosters, reports, and student data.

  • Group Admin: A group administrator has access to all schools included in the group of Zearn Math School Accounts. They can view rosters and reports for all schools. If the district uses the Spreadsheet Rostering Template, this role can also make roster changes across schools.

  • School Admin: A school administrator has access to a specific school within the Zearn Math School Account. They can view all rosters and reports for their assigned school(s). If the school uses the Spreadsheet Rostering Template, this role can also make roster changes at the school level.

  • Teacher: A teacher has access to classroom level information. Teachers can view reports for their assigned classes, update student lesson assignments, and if the school uses the Spreadsheet Rostering Template, update their classroom rosters.

  • Student: A student can access only their own account and work on Digital Lessons. Depending on the district’s integration, students may join different classrooms, but they cannot modify account settings or access rosters or reports.
