Merging existing accounts

Zearn attempts to merge student progress from existing Zearn accounts during the initial ClassLink sync. To identify matching accounts, Zearn compares the student’s SIS ID with the ClassLink Identifier field or a metadata field titled zearnid.

Merging occurs only for students with existing Zearn Math School Accounts. If a student cannot be automatically merged, or if they have progress saved in an individual Zearn account, Zearn provides a merge option during the student’s first login.

After the initial ClassLink login, progress from prior Zearn accounts can no longer be merged.
