Zearn enhances digital learning with vital paper-and-pencil activities, recognizing their key role in reinforcing knowledge transfer. As students work through guided practice, they're asked to complete problems on paper. Student Notes and in-lesson prompts for written work encourage deeper engagement, allowing students to strengthen their understanding through active problem-solving and reflection. Students receive digital support as they complete their Student Notes, providing them with learning opportunities as they check their work. Teachers should check Student Notes weekly to monitor engagement, celebrate self-checking, and note the variety of strategies being used by students.
Student Notes for each Mission are available in Zearn Notebooks or can be downloaded and printed individually from Teacher Accounts. To find Student Notes from your educator account, follow the steps below:
- Click on the Curriculum tab.
- Navigate to the desired grade and Mission.
- Within the Independent Digital Lessons section near the top of the page, click “Student Notes for Digital Lessons.”
