Placing students on Zearn

Zearn Math aligns to teachers’ instruction to give students more opportunities to independently explore the same grade-level math content they are learning with their teacher with built-in, differentiated support. We recommend placing students on the first grade-level unit aligned to your core math curriculum.

As students work through grade-level math lessons, they receive just-in-time differentiated support to address any unfinished learning in the context of new, grade-level learning. At the end of every lesson, students complete an embedded daily diagnostic that assesses their understanding. If students struggle, Zearn automatically launches a Boost in the exact moment that they need it, with support and scaffolding from prior grades or units. If students continue to struggle, teachers receive real-time alerts in order to inform further differentiation.
