Zearn offers live and asynchronous professional development opportunities that can be flexed to meet the needs of your school community. Here are the current offerings:
- Orientation Webinar for Zearn School Accounts: In this 60-minute orientation, School Account users will build familiarity with Zearn Math including Zearn’s Approach, the Digital and live lesson materials, the Class Reports for Grades 1-8, and the educator account and platform. Participants will explore the Getting Started Checklist to consider how to launch Zearn in their classrooms and schools. Lastly, throughout the session, participants will have the opportunity to ask questions as they learn about and prepare to implement Zearn in their classrooms and schools.
- Educator Training: Come together with educators from your school or district for an in-person or virtual PD session. PD sessions are designed to help you launch and grow your Zearn Math implementation, from Foundational sessions to Advanced PD. Sessions are available for educators using Zearn Math as a core curriculum as well as educators using Zearn Math as a digital complement to core instruction. - Leaders Training: Come together with leaders and coaches from your school or district to learn how to launch Zearn Math in your school or district and get to impact. - Curriculum Study G1 - G5: Curriculum Study PD is an asynchronous training that can be led by a designated PD facilitator at your school or in your district. Curriculum Study provides 1st-5th grade teachers with ongoing professional development designed to build deep knowledge of each mission in the Zearn Math curriculum. Each session is 60 minutes and dives into the word problems, fluencies, and concept exploration of the Mission. Sessions are designed to be completed before the start of each unit, or mission, and participants are prompted to collaboratively analyze the mission while assessing student work and strategies for problem-solving.
